Mr. Saravanan-Vaa Nanba Vaa

Mr. Saravanan being one of the founders of the 'Vaa Nanba Vaa' organisation has devoted his life for the betterment of Madurai. The non governmental organisation aims at creating a cleaner, and greener Madurai. It was started by a group of friends who were enlightened with the idea of making a difference in the surrounding by skipping their  cricket matches on sundays. Initially it began as a small group but as days went by many volunteers joined hands to achieve the purpose. Activities such as cleaning, painting walls to convey social messages, and afforestation are taken up by them. They have also worked on the cutting down of karuvelam trees, cleaning the banks of river vaigai, planting, and most importantly taking care of the planted saplings. Initially, they worked on their area of residence, and later chose different areas that needed their service.
